Utah Authors

support local authors

So I’ve been keeping a text file with Utah authors and their books to keep track of them but Suey at It’s All About Books (who also lives in Utah) created a perpetual challenge to read our local authors.  Well, duh! Totally doing this already, so why not make it official?!  While Utah is home to many authors for the LDS market, the majority of this list are authors who have a national reach and is far from all inclusive.  And wow, I love living here!

      1. Well, wow. Look at all those I didn’t know about. I think we could stay busy all year just keeping up with these guys.

      2. That’s right, buy local. It’s greener (or is that only for groceries?).

      3. I don’t see Terry Tempest Williams on this list! Her writing is powerful, poetic, and insightful. She’s written children’s books, personal narratives, essay collections, and books that defy categorization, since they can be read by a wide range of readers.
